Our History

In 1980, Dr. Sid Pion and the late Dr. Jack Korsower founded Community Radiology in Olney, Maryland. The practice soon expanded with offices in Bethesda, Germantown and Silver Spring, Maryland. In 1988, Community Radiology partnered with Montgomery General Hospital to open Montgomery Community Magnetic Imaging Center (MCMIC). Over time, Community Radiology has grown to encompass 11 centers in three counties.

Today, CRA is partnered with RadNet, Inc., a national leader in diagnostic imaging. With this partnership, Community Radiology is affiliated with more than 160 centers in California, New York, Maryland, Florida, Delaware, and Kansas. For more information about RadNet, Inc., click here.
